School Workload Reduction Toolkit
The Department for Education has produced a new kit that aims to help schools identify issues with unnecessary tasks and workload management.
The online toolkit launched by the DfE comprises several stages for Headteachers to complete with their staff in the form of tools, advice, case-studies and workshops that will streamline current processes and allow school staff to focus on classroom activities. Schools can select which of the tools will be the most beneficial, with actions timed between 10 minutes and 1 hour.
Damian Hinds, the Education Secretary said “I believe we need to get back to the heart of successful teaching – to strip away the workload that doesn’t add value and give teachers the time to focus on what actually matters, the pupils in front of them.”
