How does your school support children in need of help and protection?
The Department for Education (DfE) has launched a call for evidence to help them to understand how the work of professionals supporting Children in Need can make a difference to a child's educational outcomes.
The call for evidence gives you the opportunity to share:
What approaches and skills you use to build relationships with Children in Need and adults in the child's family
How you identify a child's needs, and make decisions about what support should be in place
How you work with other agencies to improve the educational outcomes of Children in Need
Children in Need are a legally defined group of children, assessed as needing help and protection as a result of risks to their development or health. This group includes children subject to Child in Need Plans, Child Protection plans, Looked After Children, young carers; and disabled children.
