Governors plays a vital role in ensuring oversight and scrutiny of the equality, diversity and inclusion strategy, policy, procedures and practice for school staffing. However, with wellbeing a major consideration, governors have a significant responsibility to ensure that staff in their schools and trusts are respected and appreciated as valuable members of the school community. The session explores what an inclusive culture is and how governors should question leaders, in order to advance and embed inclusion.
